Random Blurbs.

First Post. Hurrah. So here goes with some poetry from yester-year (well, this school year):
(sorry-- I didn't really write titles on them. Each poem is separated by the dashes-- and some of them could still be worked on. I entered them as is/as they have been on my computer.)

it hurts to sing the same ol' songs
And it hurts that our talks aren't the same as they once were
And it kills to know that i'm the one waiting up for you
thinking you would never wait like that for me
i'm still waiting for you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

the tie between my heart and mind is somewhat frayed
I am so tired of my heart and tired of being played
I thought I had it all together when you gazed into my eyes
But just like the other times, it all turned into lies.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

i wonder if i'll ever be good enough
and i question why i care
why i waste so much energy on you
and all those times that you weren't there

----------------------------------------------------------------------

frostbitten heart
if you touch it, it'll shatter
frostbitten love
if you break it, it won't matter
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And from just that simple look, I'm a little weak
I say words upon words to everyone; but with you i can hardly speak

----------------------------------------------------------------------

i'm gone with a glance
just wishing for that single chance

----------------------------------------------------------------------

you're the words to this song
your the thoughts in my head
you're the image in my deepest dreams
You're the things that have been said

you're the hero to my fallen world
i'm your damsel in distress
you're the breath within my breathing lungs
i'm the beat within your chest

----------------------------------------------------------------------

And her eyes lit up with a smile;
And her face beamed like the sun

When he walked into that lonely room
And told her she's the one.

And from that room he walked away
With that same light in his eye.
He went away knowing she was his;
And he’d always be her guy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
On the outside I am fine
like i don't even care
on the outside I don't mind
that you are never there
on the outside i don't let my stupid emotions flow
it really seems like i have truly let you go
...but that's because it's on the outside.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Feeling like I'm breaking
from the inside going out
it's the way that you loved me once
i'm afraid to live without
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Blinking in disbelief
wanting to tear myself from this dream
that you walked out on me now
it makes me want to scream
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I watch you as you smile and enjoy your perfect day
as you laugh at all the little things your closest friends all say
and i see how you wave and laugh with that one over there
and i find it in my deepest self that it really isn't fair
this isn't how my life is supposed to be
that one over there should really be me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
fighting against what they say
not wanting it to go my way
confusing is what i truly find--
it's being wrong that i don't mind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

She fell for a fool
he couldn't really see
the greatness and the beauty
that was surely she

he looked on thru that porcelain face
past those emerald eyes
above those wavy reddish locks
away from the inset lies

that she was good enough for him
or anyone she could see
But then she realized the final truth:
"The fool was really me."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and there's a tear-shaped memory
where i thought of you last night
